Nick Aspinall - Chairman and Managing Director

- Nick has been involved in retailing since 1973. He has worked in buying, merchandising and financial management, including three years with Debenhams. He has worked in retail consultancy since 1980
- He set up The ORC Partnership in 1990 and is the companys founder and Managing Partner. ORC Data Services was subsequently set up in 2001
- Nick has developed a number of products, notably the Retail Sales and Profit Model (RSPM) and LAPIS
- Aside from Nicks UK experience, he has also worked in Eire, Russia, France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Spain for retailers, retail property investors and local authorities
Matthew Powell - Development Manager

- Matthew started his career in South Africa after completing his BSc in Surveying and Mapping at the University of Natal.
- Matthew was first employed as a professional surveyor by National Mapping Technologies - one of South Africa’s leading aerial surveying companies. During this time he completed his articles in surveying and passed his national board exam. His interest in Information Systems led him to study further in the field of Information Technology and Software Development through Natal Technikon.
- He joined ORC as our Information Systems Manager in 2001. For 3 years he managed our client-based information systems, our team of Information Analysts and ORC's databases.
- In June 2004 Matthew was promoted to Development Manager, he now manages our team of developers and projects that involve the design, development and sale of our Information Systems.
Ben Aspinall - Information Systems Manager

- Ben joined us with a degree in Information Management from University College, London. As a student, he previously worked for The ORC Partnership for six years
- Originally working as Sales Co-ordinator, Ben is now the Information Systems Manager, managing ORC's information systems, databases and our in-house team of Information Analysts.
Luther Jackson - Senior Systems developer

- Luther joined us in 2001. He is an experienced MapInfo user and has extensive knowledge of geographical database design and construction
- Luther is involved in the development of customised versions of ORC’s Retail Sales & Profit Model, and the upgrading of our current systems, along with the production of our retail market reports and consultancy service
- He has a BSc in GIS and Remote Sensing
Jane Laws - Senior Systems Developer

- Jane pursued her interest in GIS at University, taking a BSc in Geographical Science at Portsmouth. She further specialised in commercial applications of GIS software gaining an MA in GIS with Distinction at Leeds
- Jane has experience of developing gravity models dealing with elastic demand in the leisure market. She is responsible for customising the Retail Sales & Profit Model in specialist markets to suit client needs
Ronan Moriarty - Systems Developer

- Ronan originally studied in Trinity College Dublin, where he got an MSc in Engineering (1998), and degrees in Engineering and Mathematics(1997).
- He then worked as an engineer in the construction industry in Dublin for 3 years before going to Dublin City University where he received a Graduate Diploma in IT.
- Before Joining ORC he worked as a VB programmer for an engineering software company for 2 years.
Dominic Rorke - Systems Developer

- Dominic joined ORC in August 2005 following several years as a GIS Consultant at ESRI (UK) in a number of roles including: technical support, in Local Government as a GIS Officer, and establishing the use of GIS as a tool for crime mapping and analysis in a major Police force. Prior to this he worked for Forest Research developing GIS based techniques for forest inventory.
- Dominic graduated with a Masters Degree in Geographic Information Science from the University of Edinburgh in 2000, and a 2:1 BSc in Geology from the University of Liverpool in 1998.
